Akuland Farms Limited is an Akuland Group Company incorporated on the 23rd of July 2013. Akuland Farms started as an Oil Palm Plantation Management and processing business but has now diversified into Rice farming, processing, packaging, marketing, and distribution of West African Mama Naija Rice.

“Mama Naija Rice” is the trademark for Akuland Farms Limited rice business. Mama Naija Rice is the brand for our Long Grain 490 special quality rice, only produced in Nigeria, and has been gaining international recognition as one of the best qualities of diet rice. It also has a great aroma and cooking results.

About Us

We are out to ensure improved food security in Nigeria and the West African sub-region, we are expanding our agricultural farming interests to include the cultivation, processing, and storage of various grain including; maize, rice, beans, wheat, sorghum, barley, and soybeans.

“Quality” and “Commitment” are two key forces that further provide us with the momentum to compete successfully and keep ahead of competitors.

Akuland Farms Limited’s primary activities include but are not limited to cultivating, sourcing, storing, processing, and distributing grains. We also bridge producers and users of grain, oilseeds, and other agricultural commodities.

Mama Naija Rice is farmed/sourced, processed, packaged, and distributed in Nigeria by Akuland Farms Limited. Our brand Mama Naija Rice is made from our carefully selected and scientifically grown paddy and also from paddy’s sourced mostly from local farmers who are members of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, RFAN.

Our scale is our strength.

Our global supply chains mean we can source from farmers for customers around the world, as well as supply the Nigerian domestic market directly from our 10,000-hectare rice farm.

We source and produce edible oils to meet our customers’ needs. Our sourcing, refining, blending, bottling, distribution, and supply chain capabilities serve the retail, food manufacturing, food service, and personal care sectors.

We are committed to sustainable palm oil production and sourcing. Our Sustainable Palm Oil Policy and our Living Landscapes Policy set out our commitment to protecting forests and areas of High Conservation Value both in our own plantations and through our third-party supply chain.
